I was struck by the similarity to my own life and the old man in the car. I am a medical student, and I am still in medical school. I don’t work on Saturdays and I don’t have a lot of free hours. I make about $18,000 a year as a medical student. But I was in that car in my own car.

That is, in fact, exactly what he was doing. But the similarities end there. The mecklenburg medical group has now made it to the top of the news. A few days after the publication of our story, the group was revealed to be the subject of a lawsuit. Apparently, the group is a front for the drug conspiracy that has been plaguing the state. The group, which is led by Dr.
Dr. Mark Pritchard, a North Carolina medical doctor, was arrested for criminal conspiracy to distribute OxyContin and other prescription drugs. He was indicted on three counts of distribution of oxycodone, three counts of distribution of heroin, and three counts of conspiracy. The charges are not related to the group, and the investigation is ongoing. Pritchard was arrested on felony charges in June of 2010. A search warrant was served at his North Carolina home in late April.
Pritchard is the last person I’d want to be involved with, but if you’ve got a few thousand bucks lying around, perhaps it’s not such a bad idea to invest in your health. Not to mention the fact that he’s still the guy who can make you feel better with a few pills.
Pritchard is in the middle of a three year federal investigation into a group of doctors who allegedly used unethical medical practices to illegally profit from the sale of prescription narcotics. They also allegedly used illegal methods of payment for these drugs, such as giving their patients a prescription to not have to buy them from their doctors. Pritchard was also convicted in a civil case in 2009 and has been in prison since.
The case that Pritchard has been in has really affected him, and he’s hoping to get out and get his life back. He’s also hoping to get a lot of money, so he’s already filed a $2 million claim against the Federal Government.
